Now when you say chemical filtration needs to be replaced once it is used up – out of the sponge, rings, and carbon is the carbon the chemical filtration? I think I get what your saying now, just take it out and use the sponge and rings. I was just under the impression that carbon is what keeps the tank clear from floating particles and just nice and bright. It’s funny you compare it to chemistry because I have 5 tanks and I test 4 a day on each so that 20 chemicals going on at once I feel like I am a chemist or something lol.
